CUNET GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY, RAISING OVER $25,000 FOR THE UNITED WAY
With the holiday season upon us, it’s a great time to stop and think about giving thanks, and giving back. At CUnet, our employees have been doing exactly that over the past few months, and we thought it deserved a mention here in the blog.
Today, we announced the results of CUnet’s 2011 United Way Pace Setter Campaign, which far surpassed the company goals, raising an impressive $25,553. From raffles to bake sales, pot luck lunches to an XBox challenge, the CUnet employees showed their true colors, giving back to the community while having a great time doing it.
Two very deserving United Way organizations – the United Way of Bergen County and United Way Toronto – will benefit from the CUnet donation.
And we’re not done giving back yet; a group of CUnet staff are now actively raising some impressive donations for prostate cancer while growing some equally impressive facial hair as part of the Movember men’s health campaign. If you’re interested in seeing some of the evidence – or making your own donation – you can visit the CUnet team page here. Otherwise, stay tuned for photos in an upcoming blog post.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at CUnet.
