Movember @ CUnet: Where The Wild Things Grow
Aloha, faithful readers! That means “hello” and “goodbye!” Across the United States (except, maybe, in Hawaii), the air is getting brisk, the trees have acquired an umber hue and the crisp smell of fallen leaves is filling the air. Yes, it’s Movember and that means the time of year when we behave strangely for charity!
For those unfamiliar with our autumnal charity craze, throughout this month, scads of CUnet and Petersons Interactive will be participating in Movember, a 30-day charity race to grow mustaches, raise support and awareness of men’s health issues, and, in general, do our best to look like walruses (at least, those of us who don’t already). At the beginning of the month, participants start clean shaven and as the pages fly off the desk calendar, Movember participants groom their upper lip plumage, nurture their face furniture, and tend to their bristly man gardens while also accepting donations from fluffy facial fur fans.
This year, we’ve got a wide variety of activities lined up, including a night of musical entertainment by CUnet employees at the Orange Lantern bar in Paramus (only our favorite dive bar ever) and, if we hit a specific goal, a repeat performance of the “Jeff is Dumb For Charity” performance of yours truly eating the spiciest pepper in the world (a Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Pepper, rated at over 2 million Scoville Heat Units, hotter than some law enforcement-grade pepper sprays), streamed live from the CUnet offices.
This year’s team of flocculent fellows includes:
| Robert Boardman Affiliate Program Manager |
Matt Brink Marketing Operations and Quality Control Professional |
Jeff Herz Director, Compliance & Internal Operations |
| Anthony Nater Website Administrator |
Ray Philip Senior Interactive Strategist |
Jim Stroh Senior Client Account Manager |
Donations are still being accepted and no amount is too small. Hop on out here and drop some dough to help a good cause.
